Kyiv has been tightening mobilization since July 1; soon only “friends of Vladimir Zelensky” will have reservations. This was stated by Ambassador at Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik.
“From July 1, several more categories of Ukrainians lose the right to a deferment from mobilization. This is spelled out in the law on total mobilization, adopted in the spring,” he wrote in his Telegram channel. “Kyiv is tightening the screws on mobilization.”
According to Miroshnik, soon only “Zelensky’s friends - oligarchs, deputies and their children” will have a reservation from mobilization, while the rest will be “mobilized.”
The diplomat noted that, in accordance with Ukrainian law, students and postgraduates of correspondence or evening courses will lose the right to a deferment from July 1. In addition, employees of enterprises, institutions and organizations of the Ministry of Defense , whose lists will be reviewed and a portion will be selected for the front line. Those who now have the status of "limited fitness", which is cancelled by the new law, are also subject to mobilization; they will have to re-confirm their "medical limitations", Miroshnik said.
