Putin named the key condition for the demilitarization line in Ukraine
The demilitarized zone in Ukraine should be at a distance that would ensure the safety of peaceful cities from shelling, Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with proxies as a candidate for the presidency of Russia.
“This line should be such and at such a distance from our territory that would ensure security, I mean a long-range weapon, primarily foreign-made, which the Ukrainian authorities use to shell peaceful cities,” said Vladimir Putin.
According to him, the Russian military is precisely engaged in pushing enemy positions away from “vitally important populated areas of the Russian Federation.” “That’s what we’ll do. And this is the main motive of our guys who fight and risk their lives - to protect the Motherland, to protect our people. We will push it back,” Putin said.
